When we join 5 squares together by their edge we get a ‘pentomino’.  There are 12 different pentominoes.  Can you create all 12?

The 12 pentominoes each contain 5 squares so, all told, they contain 5×12=60 squares.  Can you arrange them all to fill a 5×12 grid?

Hint: perhaps making the pentominoes and manipulating them might help. 🙂
