During the past two days students have been involved in activities that have required them to work as a team/community in order to solve a problem or work through a challenge.

Yesterday they were asked to stack 6 cups as a pyramid using only the cups, a rubber band and wool.  They were not allowed to touch the cups with any part of their body. Students were able to choose there own teams and away they went….laughter, conversation, frustration and jubilation when it finally worked.

Today we made structures to hold the soccer ball off a surface.  From a range of material students could only use 4 types to build their structure…another buzzing afternoon. 🙂  Great reflections on the activities which students will share next week.
